Pear Tree Farm - Dining & Carvery

The carvery food I had was nice. The staff were pleasant and helpful. But it was heaving with no control over ordering. So the queue to pay was very long and the queue to get to the carvery was longer. We did go at a peak time so was to be expected, just meant our group all ate ate different times at the table. Can't explain, just not a good experience.

Ordered a starter and main course each. Starters came quite quickly and were decent enough. Main courses took a little longer but not unreasonable. However, both the chicken medley and ultimate salad had 2 (different items) missing. Managed to get 2 on one plate at the 3rd attempt but only 1 on the other. So..... Food quality that we had was good enough for 4 stars out of 5 but down to 3 for the 4 missing items. Staff were friendly enough but forgetful so again 4 stars out of 5 down to 3. Manager was to sort a dessert but disappeared. Asked the lad who collected the plates to find him but still no appearance. Had to go up and speak to another member of staff to sort who was in fact aware so ended up being sorted so thank you for that. Therefore 3 out of 5 overall experience. Edit. Having read the response from the business and rethinking over the experience as a whole, I feel that the free dessert that we took home deserves more acknowledgement to resolve the issues and have therefore increased my rating to 4 stars.
