St. Raphael Guest House

One of the best stays we had in our UK trip, we were given the room with individual back entrance and we loved how private and quiet it was. We are walking travelers, so we were happy to take the quick stroll into the old town instead of staying within the city walls, which getsvery busy! Food in UK isn't the cheapest so it's also great to have a full, breakfast within the room rate. Thanks to the staff for your friendliness and flexibility during our short stay!

Great location and early check-in and parking a real bonus , only a short walk into York. Unfortunately for us we had major issues in the early hours and had to immediately check out , as no one was on site we had no choice too and had to go home cutting our break away . We did recieve a phone from the manager the next morning , very apologetic and assured us the problem will be dealt with immediately and issued us a full refund . Disappointed that our weekend away was cut short and not to have tried the breakfast as so many reviews mentioned it .

My wife and I stayed for two nights in a very cozy and very clean room. The B&B is in a nice, quiet neighborhood, and only a very short walk into the main area of town. The breakfast was lovely, and we really appreciated the large and varied spread of items that was laid out for us, even though it seemed we were the only guests during those two days. Danny and Fran were great hosts, friendly, and happy to share detailed recommendations for things to do. Thanks again for making our stay in York a wonderful one!
