The service department were so unhelpful , unresponsive and expensive to deal with. My local garage are so much more friendly, straight forward and convenient to deal with and so they are now going to change the brake discs and pads for less than 1/2 the price quoted at Heritage VW in Yeovil.

Having recently purchased a VW and seen this is my closest dealership I decided to try to get booked in to have a small software update carried out as directed by VW central support. VW support emailed them with the fix for my very small issue and I thought it should be fairly straightforward. I've called many times over the last few days. Most of the calls weren't answered. Just rang and rang. Called the service dept number and spoken to what I thought was the service dept to discover I needed to be put through to the service dept. I waited on hold but the call never connected. I've been on the chat support system and was promised I'd be contacted after a long chat conversation where I related all the data, my contact details etc. Obviously I wasn't contacted. I've emailed. No response. I've called and actually spoken to the service dept to be put through to the booking dept and after a long time on hold I've ended up speaking to a nice guy in the parts dept who has apologised and tried to transfer me back to the service dept presumably to be transferred back to the booking dept. After a few minutes waiting I've dropped off because my time is valuable to me and I work for a living. It was a simple probably 10 minute software update that I would have been charged over 100 for. Easy money. And a returning customer had I been able to get my issue sorted. So I've given up. I called another dealer and had a booking arranged within 2 minutes on the first call. My new customer call was answered on the 3rd ring. So this review is to relay an experience of trying to become a customer. I can't comment on what the experience is like as an actual customer. And good luck trying.
