I had Alan J Young come to survey my property. In his report, he claimed that a concrete barn in my garden "COULD" become unstable due to the lack of wind bracing. when I asked him to evidence this as the barn had been up since the 70's and showed absolutely no signs of movement, he chose not to answer me. I have since, seen numerous barns like mine on my travels as well as on the internet with no "wind bracing" and are all still standing. This statement naturally frightened off the buyers who had a young family. If you are having your house surveyed by this so called professional, then I would strongly advise you to seek an alternative surveyor.
