Booked for the Christmas lunch and ordered the Turkey. My potatoes were frozen in the middle, I told the staff they apologised and took my plate away, they brought it back with the same potatoes on (as I'd cut them in half) and had just chucked the whole dinner in the microwave. So the potatoes weren't actually oven cooked just defrosted in the microwave and the meat had gone dry. I didn't eat it and quite rightly they didn't charge me. However, for 20 for the meal, I was expecting nice homemade crispy potatoes, not tesco frozen potatoes which is 100% what I got served. They also had the cheek to add a 10% service charge on after that awful service, I didn't notice it and my friend ended up paying it, but if I'd had seen it there is absolutely no way I would have paid it. Really surprised at the awful service and microwaving a dinner, from a small local business with good reviews.

Some of Yeovil needs to be avoided, but not this part. At the end of a modern shopping centre, I over looking the old church sits Les Amis. Offering any hot drink and a pastry for 4:25 or a bacon roll and a drink for around 6:50. This is the morning offering. Later in the day a full menu is available along with a bar. So if you need a break from shopping, and do not want a sit in a place that smells of deep fat frying, give this a try. Also there is a nice outside space.

I visit this place with my native french friend and it is always a very special occasion. The staff are unbelievably attentive and kind and nothing is too much trouble the food is nothing short of phenomenal...very very highly recommended
