My friend and I went on a free pass with the intention of joining at the end, I m already a member of Puregym but I wanted a Swimming Pool , Jazcuzzi Sauna ans Steam room as well as another option for my rest days . Loved the Pool Steam room and Sauna and noticed jaczuzzi spa had an out of order notice on it, with a message saying they would notify soon as it was back up and running. After training (Must say the gym side was a little disappointing much like a hotel type gym with old fashioned carpets) Pure Gym is far superior from that point of view, but when we asked at the end the lady at reception said that the spa jacuzzi was never coming back on...so that was the deal breaker for me as thats the bit I really wanted to use, such a shame really as this is a big sell from my point of view, i appreciate with the economy they are probably expensive to run but im sure they could alternate the sauna/steam rooms being on and leave on jacuzzi or charge extra for jacuzzi those that want to use it will pay the extra im sure.

This gym has just gone down further and further since I joined I. February. When I joined it was clean and always noticed cleaners around; you would ne lucky to see one these days. The lockers are a total nightmare to find one working! Gym equipment is out of order for months on end! The pool is now too cold to get into and so are the showers if you use them when you get out! The staff seem to have lost interest in helping people use equipment they not familiar with and seem to just congregate around the reception or sit in the upstairs room looking into a computer. The place is filthy and is fast becoming a negative influence as opposed to a positive one! I want to work out and keep healthy, but it would just be nice if anyone took an interest in what you were doing . My biggest grime is how filthy it is and when you are on a lunch break from the NHS you spend 5 minutes plus trying to make a locker work! Please sort this our or else leaving!

Would be good if Alex or Rebecca the General Managers/Duty Managers actually answered their emails or concerns raised. Customer service is shocking. Any emails that are responded to are answered like a politician ie do not explicitly answer the concerns. Changing rooms and toilets are not always clean/working and covid is still being blamed. There is NO excuse for facilities not being clean at all times. Equipment / facilities are quite often not working for long periods of time. I am aware from speaking to other members that concerns are not dealt with and its always excuses. In addition, gym induction was non existent. Chap who inducted us just showed us which muscles each piece of equipment would help with. Didnt show us how to use the equipment in terms of H&S, adjusting each for posture etc. Complete shambles.

Theres food facilities within the gym. You can go at your own pace when on the treadmill and other exercising facilities which is wonderful. The classes are a good way to make friends or to just enjoy the exercise class.
