My review of this Co-op is largely due to the reassurance of knowing that as a fuel station unlike many in the area always appeared to have fuel. During the continued rise in the cost of fuel last year and before while Tesco and Morrisons in Yeovil appeared more interested in upgrading their forecourts at maximum inconvenience this facility kept it plain and simple. And as a convenience store the Co-Op with its history based more in food than fuel instilled confidence in the late night shopper the required food items drinks etc could be found here. But it is when the two mix and only a food or drink item is needed this facility notably its staff fail to understand not all visits to this facility are to fuel up that this Co-op really lets itself down. In particular one female member of staff with grey hair, and glasses. As a tradesman I go up and down and across the country working fuelling up and working. I had long gotten used to being asked if I had fuel to pay for. So when only buying food or drink I began to make it clear to the staff members Just this as in Just this. No fuel.to save them asking the same question some staff members probably go to sleep on Any fuel?. Anyhow when popping into this facility I did exactly that. I placed my food item on the counter and said Just this the grey haired staff member asked if I had taken any fuel I replied As I said just this I meant no harm. Well weve got to ask its our job she said . I replied Yes and it is my responsibility to tell you If I take fuel . So with just this now established I paid and left. A week or so later after working driving refuelling driving refuelling working elsewhere I returned. Placed my bottle of coke on the counter and said just this Again the same member of staff asked if I had taken any fuel. My reply was the same as before only this time I had paid for the bottle by card and as I went to grab the bottle she snatched it and kept it behind the counter Any fuel? she demanded to know. I saw no reason for her aggression so countered that bottle is mine and has been paid for so if you do not hand it over to me I will grab one off the shelf and walk out she handed the bottle over and shouted you are so rude!!. The next time I returned the manager asked what had happened. I explained that to save his staff asking I would say Just this or Pump 1 2 3 4 or whatever the pump number was etc before then putting my food or drink on the counter. Okay he said and over the next month or so when in the facility I could see him listening out for my comments to his staff. He understood I did not mean anything by it. I was just trying to help. Anyhow about a month later I returned and could see this grey hair spectacle wearing staff member at the counter looking at me my van and the pump. A second female member of staff was shelf stacking right near the entrance doors. As I walked across the forecourt to pay for the fuel I heard the second member of staff while looking at me ask Why whats he done? Quite clearly the grey haired female had ask the second female if the two could work together to ban me from the facility. No sooner had I walked to the counter the grey haired woman once again shouted You are so rude you are the second female then shouted why are you so rude? I havent said anything neither have I been rude I replied. The grey haired woman Yes you have been Its not my fault you are either deaf or over sensitive I replied. The second female then absolutely screamed at the top of her lung capacity And Im telling you you are now banned from coming in here Several months have since gone by and recently I returned to this facility. Well again having adopted the just this approach for fuel station staff elsewhere I said the same. All I could hear this time from that member of staff was a tut and when exiting her saying to another customer I wouldnt have anything to do with him. He is so rude. So if anyone has heard of me being so rude please leave a comment. Where when etc. Ta
