Great setting. Nice ales. Not eaten here but will go back to try food. Was a Pitstone for a drink. Great little park around and kids playground

Wasn't inside, but it's a lovely old brick building with stone mullioned windows and a little bell tower.

You know something, I walk past the reading room two or three times a day. It's your quintessentially typical village reading room that has not been on many people's list over lockdown! But this lack of activity has been of benefit. I believe (according to village gossip) that the whole place has been redecorated; has had a new kitchen fitted, and separate cloakroom; the electrics have been brought up to the latest standards... And from my point of view upon my many 'walkies' with the dogs, I'm patiently waiting to see if the old school bell tower will be painted with a fine glossy coat of the finest Emerald Green to finish off what is a most worthwhile gem of a village hall... Make sure you visit it when socially distanced home made cake with a proper cup of tea is on offer.. Thoroughly recommend a visit
