Absolutely loved our holiday. The Old Farm House was amazing. Great communication. Very clean and attention to detail perfect. Everything you need for a great family stay. Very comfortable beds and sofas. Beautiful views and great location for all what the lake district has to offer. We stayed here with our children and dog and we had a Brilliant stay and look forward to returning soon. Can't fault anything. Highly recommended

Perfect Escape! Feeling the stresses and anxiety of modern day life, it is easy to get caught up and lose track of yourself and what makes you feel human. A getaway to Brackenthwaite was just what we needed and can only be described as a physical and mental reset button. Greeted with beautiful scenery, you feel your stress leave to be replaced with a sense of calmness. Staying at The Dairy, the first impression felt was breath taking and a sense of home away from home. The use of space, layout and dcor is one to be desired with a natural flow between the spaces. All amenities are catered for, which are usually forgotten when staying in other destinations. You are provided with an ironing board, hair dryer and even a hoover and washing machine. The bed provides more than enough space for a couple (with a tossing and turning partner this is essential). The wardrobe space is plentiful and comes with an actual useful amount of hangers for your clothes. There is a beautifully designed dressing table with triple mirrors and spot light for getting ready as well. Good news for the boyfriends / husbands; the bath is large enough to fully immerse yourself in comfortably, with being 511, this was the first time I was able to kick back and relax without my knees poking out the water or having to lay at some awkward angle to keep warm. No compromise when it comes to kitchen either, as this comes with a full fridge / freezer providing more than enough space, as well as containers to store any left overs or for picnics when youre out and about. The exclusive Brackenthwaite coffee blend, provided as standard, is a much appreciated upgrade from the norm and is a nice touch. The Lounge area provides the usual creature comforts of a sofa, coffee table, TV and wifi. There is a Well feature with a glass top and serene lighting that blends from one colour to the next which is mesmerising and when paired with the fireplace creates such a unique atmospheric environment to chill, relax and unwind. We did not bring our dog on this occasion, however there is plenty of space for your 4 legged family member to roam around, as there is a field just outside to give them plenty of exercise as well scenic walks and trails for everyone to enjoy. Arnside isnt too far a walk (for the active) where there is a beach area, restaurant, pubs and fish and chip shop for a nice day out. There is an abundance of Information and interesting books provided for other walking trails nearby and information on the local area. The Dairy is without a doubt the best place my partner and I have stayed and provided a welcome physical and mental break. We were able to disconnect from the busy and chaotic stresses of work life, enabling us to find ourselves again and reconnect with each other. Thank you Brackenthwaite!
