Superb venue, fantastic first class service from the second you walk through the door. The food has to be rated as five stars as every course exceeded my expectations and believe me the rhubarb and custard was the perfect finish to my experience. My compliments to the chef The rooms are excellent, comfortable and well priced and definitely great value. This place is now definitely added to my preferred list of places to stay when in the area.

Stayed over Easter and very impressed with the cleanliness, quality of food, and professional care taken during our stay. Our room was a beautiful quiet and clean room, with tea/coffee making facilities and a fridge. The location is within easy reach of a number of National Trust/English Heritage sites, towns, coast and pretty villages. Will happily return.

A very quiet place to stay. Rooms are very clean and high quality. We even had a super-quiet small fridge that was very handy. The bed was huge and comfortable. The staff were very friendly and polite throughout. This is a small place with minimal staff. The restaurant is small and cosy, quite old-fashioned as it's set in the old pub building. It's a fine-dining menu with high pricing. Breakfast was very good. The windows to the restaurant sit alongside a fast-moving B road that can be a little offputting. Extra glazed windows do a good job of blocking the road noise. The real main takeaway for us was that you are restricted to your room as they have no lounge area or terrrace to sit and relax. This was the major thing for us. It's also virtually impossible to just go for a walk as you are located far from anything meaningful, the location of the site is on a fast moving B road junction so you need to use your car to go anywhere. (free parking). If you're down for a work meeting or just passing through, it's a nice, clean, high-end place to stop over at. But as for a destination in itself, then no. ,
