Love Waitrose still, but since Brexit, Covid, and various other things there are still some things that have changed our are in short supply. Updated April 2023: still some empty shelves and a few lines of the Waitrose cereals missing, but supplies of most other things seem to be ok. Old stuff: The shop has been redesigned, which is... Ok... But finding what you want is now the game of guess which aisle. I will get used to it eventually I'm sure! Big Issue seller no longer here as of Feb 2023. There is a Big Issue seller outside this site, and so please support her. If you need to make two trips in the week, then all if you can get her anything. Kindness is all, and selling the magazine in the cold is no fun.

I have been noticing that some of the fruit and vegetables hasn't been up to scratch. Usually I just bin it and say it must have been transported too cold. Yesterday I bought some onions and nectarines. Both were bad. I would have binned it but my husband became angry with me for buying from Waitrose. How much have you binned lately? Why don't you just calculate how much it will cost and throw the money straight in the bin? I defended Waitrose saying that their products are usually very good and their service is excellent. Just to prove my point I took the stuff back. The young man I first spoke to recognised the problem and called another lady. She asked me to show her the products on the shelf. She acknowledged that it was theirs and that she will make a report. She then asked me for me receipt. I told her I paid cash and no longer have it. She told me that without a receipt I am not entitled to a replacement or a refund. I asked about goodwill. She said without a receipt there is nothing she can do! I have been doing all of my shopping at Waitrose fo many years but after today I will be shopping elsewhere. I cannot believe their customer service policy can be this bad. I am very disappointed.
