Trying to collect a DPD parcel on behalf of someone else. I had his photo ID and mine but clerk clearly didn't know the rules and refused to release the parcel. Had to show him the DPD website own instructions which he still refused to believe so he wasted our time by him calling DPD only to be told what we were showing him on the website. Jobsworth who should learn the rules properly. Other staff have also previous been a bit jobsworth too. I'll go to Chipping Sodbury from now on. Poor service and a poor experience

They're rarely open because they're usually on strike. When they're open they only have 1-2 staff working at any time, so the queue goes out the door. You can only collect parcels until 2:30pm, earlier on a Saturday, and they close it for lunch, which is exactly when you can collect it. Not sure what decade the Post Office thinks it is, but they're not in the right century.

Annoyingly only open during normal working hours in the week, which is really unhelpful, and means it's usually really busy at the weekends and usually understaffed. Also staff can be jobsworths at times, today forcing me to pay extra on a large letter because it was 1 gram over the 100g weight limit... 1 gram! This was also the case for another letter (which was a whopping 16 grams over), despite the fact I also posted two boxes that were several hundred grams under their weight limit. Then after stumping up the extra I get told that my RMSD packages probably won't be delivered on time because of Royal Mail strikes! Fantastic customer service, really makes me want to come back! (Not!) It says a lot when my experience posting with Hermes was much better! At least the Hermes drop off is open sensible hours and they don't quibble over every single gram.
