After doing the usual enquiries with two local companies, my wife decided to give 1813 a call. Well, thankfully she did, as Robin came round and did a measure up. We had a rough idea of what we wanted and with a few tweaks and suggestions by Robin my wife was happy. What really impressed us, was the detailed plans of the units hand drawn in not one but three pads of various sizes, along with Robins unfazed attitude when my wife wanted a change made. He even invited us to his workshop so my wife could see the actual colour she had chosen, along with the handles. Robin even suggested that as we had tall doors made, that we let them settle in over a month, in case we needed to call him back. He did come back on a very very minor problem and reassured us it was no problem him coming back. It has been over four months since the fitting, absolutely love the wardrobes along with the matching bedside cabinets (which he suggested, which we hadnt thought of, as ours would definitely been out of keeping.) Robin helped to redesign my little turret kitchen - an awkward space which benefitted greatly from his craftsmanship. He was very professional from start to finish and did a great job within budget. He was also very helpful with recommendations for other trustworthy tradesmen. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Robin for any bespoke furniture or kitchen needs. Robin surpassed himself with our bespoke home library with hidden secret bookcase doors, storage window seat and bookcase with base cupboards for extra storage which also included the framework for a library ladder. From concept to installation, Robin fulfilled a life long dream to create a beautiful and functional home library with a difference. We are literally thrilled with the attention to detail, the quality and expertise of his work. We would highly recommend Robin and will be using 1813 Furniture again for future projects.
