lovely little shop where you can get tea/coffee/snacks and most importantly home-made jams and Wytham Woods honey! Has a little sitting area outside too.

A small shop with a tea garden, serving simple sandwich rolls and teas and coffees, along with basic groceries and some vintage crockery. There is a little history room with information about the village, and an outdoor toilet. So everything you would need for a cheap and very pleasant lunch or afternoon tea in the sunshine. This place feels a little bit like it has come unstuck from time and space. By Oxford tea room standards everything is extremely cheap and unpretentious. The little shop has whitewashed walls and feels like something from a Roald Dahl story, and sells cans of fizzy drinks at supermarket prices (85p for a can of fizzy orange, compared to 2.50 in Pret). There is a wooden box of fresh-laid eggs outside the front door. You can buy a cheese and pickle roll for 2.50 that you can eat out of a paper bag on a table in the garden or in a little shed stuffed with painted china pots and Matthew Arnold poems and faded copies of Millais paintings on the walls. You have driven 10 minutes from Oxford and somehow become displaced to a slightly orthogonal world to our own. Would definitely recommend.
