Very much a follower of the party line rather than a representative of the constituency.

George Freeman stands out as a decent and hardworking MP who looks after his constituents well. I started a (holiday) business in his constituency which in 2007 attracted a lot of public attention and hostility which was largely driven by people with what I would say were personal agendas. They tried to enlist George against us, which would have effectively been the nail in the coffin of our business. His first action was to phone us and say "Look, I want to come down and see what all the fuss is about". He stopped by for a tour round the site and cup of coffee and remarked "I can see what you are trying to do here. Leave it with me". We still had lots of all the usual hoops to jump through, but George poured oil on troubled waters, even though this was contrary to what some people wanted. 14 years later the business is still operating, and employs 32 full and part time staff, thanks largely to George. No doubt he has his faults as we all do, but in a real world we couldn't have hoped for a more thoughtful approach from a genuine guy.

The guy left 50 of his disabled constituents out in the rain rather than face them He was later made to make a sort of public apology for his comments about disabled people.... I will leave you to decide !
