The plans for the exterior landscaping has been downgraded. What happened to plans for the culvert? As for the comunal areas, there are a lot of weeds!! The homeowners have to pay an annual payment for the upkeep of these areas, or at least they did. Barwoods are in the process of sorting a management team. The entire estate looks a little shabby sadly. The workmanship on the homes is actually very nice. The exteriors are pleasing and the layout of each home is well thought out, if a little tight on space. This seems to be the case with a few Barwood developements I have seen. The houses are very much crammed in to tight spaces to maximise on profit. In Storkit Meadows the 4 semi detached houses have a back garden that could have been better planned. A massive slope rises upwards towards the back fence leaving very little in the way of garden as it is wasted space. This was not outlined on the plans. The snagging? well, the snagging!! 2 years after moving in a down pipe on the exterior back wall has still not been repaired with the result that water pours down the gap between the colar and the pipe. Barwoods answer, pay us 150 and we can repair it. I can not get up a ladder to reach the collar and no workman wants such a small job. I begrudge Barwoods a cent!!!! So. My advice. Check the fine print. Get everything in writing and be prepared to nag for things to get done. Once you have paid over your money you are very much on your own. Barwoods are not a great company to deal with. And the aftr sales is non existent.

Don't buy from Barwood Homes , you will regret it . From the moment you move in the aftercare is a battle of them trying to deny its their fault . I don't do reviews normally , but i needed to just warn people . If there is any doubt , don't do it :(

STAY AWAY from this developer! Marketing themselves as striving for quality and attention to detail. Couldn't be further from the truth. They have used poor quality contractors, cut corners and lie continuously. What should have been our dream home has been and continues to be a living nightmare! Serious issues with our roof, brickwork, mortar, electrics, plumbing. This company will take your money and run, whilst laughing.
