Epic Events Management

The company cancelled the 2022 Windermere Swim event stating an incompetent interpretation of the weather forecast as the reason. But the organisation and staffing at the event were of very poor quality. They also failed to provide the bad weather contingency that was in their T&Cs. They refused to refund entry fees despite there being no good reason for the event not to take place. Like many, I complained and asked to be refunded and was refused. But the good news is that my credit card company agreed that withholding a refund was unlawful. I made a "Section 75 Claim" and have now been reimbursed in full.

Terrible company. Cancelled the Windermere end to end with 2 hours noticed based on suspicious misinterpretation of predicted wind ( the lake was flat calm all day see photo), took the 200 entry money and ran, no refunds. Deleted entire Facebook discussions on it leaving only the favourable comments of which there were very few. Gave a lot of people the wrong sized hoodies (too small) apparently knowingly. Seem to care very little about customers. Presumably relying on enough naivety out there to fill future events.
