Castle Farm Shop

My Grandpa of 83 years, visited the Farm shop at the Cholmondeley Estate just over a month ago and was treated in a mean and disgusting manner when trying to support his local farm shop and get himself basic essentials during lock-down. When he tried to purchase some sausages and bacon, he was told to put the food back and leave because the woman serving at the shop did not recognise him a being a local. My Grandpa left and was unable to purchase anything and forced to travel and shop elsewhere. How in this time of current crisis where there should be more compassion and understanding, especially for elderly pensioners, is this allowed to happen?! The women who refused to serve him should be ashamed of herself and certainly isn't someone I would want working for me.

Limited seating outside only. But very pleasant service with a wide selection of ready made sandwiches, pies and cakes.
