I went there around the October 2020, my 2006 325i BMW was due to it's MOT and the top brake light wasn't working. I also asked them politely to check the car and fix anything serious before MOT. They fixed the third brake light but failed the car on MOT due to front shocks leaking. They also prepared an MOT report with every little detail they could write bad about the car to the report. They also couldn't give me a proper answer why they didn't checked the car before failing it from MOT, it was just a mistake from their side. Besides this on going bad communication I left the car for the fix. They didn't have any quick access to the parts or any preparation for the job so it took a week for them to change two front shocks and it was very expensive. They also couldn't find a coolant leak source which was present at the time which was found by another garage later. I found another garage after this experience and never looked back. If you have a relatively new car with not much issues these guys can be ok as long as you speak everything before. Otherwise they can easily convince you to scrap your car with that communication, job duration and the amount of the bills. Service: General repairs

Visited Lakeside Garage after having issues with my steering. I went to another garage who advised a list of repairs that'd cost me a few thousand pounds. Liton inspected the vehicle and advised first starting with other less costly repairs to see if that resolved the issues. We booked the car in and the guys did a great job as the cars running as it should and saved me a bunch of money. The whole team from the reception to mechanics were super friendly and professional. Definitely now my regular go to garage and will be recommending to friends and family. Services: Wheel alignment, General repairs

I have had two things done by Lakeside in the past and both I booked an appointment as I was not in any rush. I then had a problem with the car and typical, this time I had an appointment I really wanted to keep. I went round first thing to see if there was any way the car could be looked at to see what the problem was. This is why I gave 5 stars as within about 10 minutes I was told what the problem was !! Liton even took the time to explain it. As I had an urgent appointment he was able to make sure the car was drivable while waiting for the part. I have had three things done on the car now and been impressed by the work but also their customer service !! The lady at reception is very friendly and helpful and she discusses with mechanics so I know whats going on. They genuinely want to help and they will get a quote or explain what needs to be done beforehand. I would definitely recommend them! Services: Brake service & repair, General repairs
