Great place for families as there are multiple playgrounds, including various equipment dotted throughout the woods. The house shuts earlier than the rest of the property so we missed the chance to go in. Plenty of trails around the estate for walking. Great views down the valley, and lots of lush grass hills and banks for a picnic or just to relax and look at the view.

The national trust is the best value membership around and this house is 1 of my favourites so far. Stunning inside and out with knowledgeable, friendly staff as always.
