My 7 year old son has made excellent progress in just a few months of weekly lessons with Catherine. He has become so much more confident in his reading and writing and most importantly, he both thoroughly enjoys and looks forward to his lessons! Catherine's Reading Doctor strategies clearly work and I highly recommend her for any child.

Would highly recommend The Reading Doctor, Worthing. I have seen a huge improvement in Reading, spelling and handwriting since my child started going but most of all my child's confidence has grown so much. She is always excited to go and always comes out super happy. When I asked my for my child's thoughts I was told 'It's the BEST!!' Thank you. X

My son has been seeing the reading Dr for several months now and it really has given him the confidence to read. He has improved in his reading skills and it has given him the self esteem to give reading a go. Catherine has made him feel safe and secure and he finds the sessions enjoyable. He looks forward to going to school on a Monday as he has his reading Dr session. Great communication.

Catherine has worked hard to get to know what makes my child tick. Even when he is in the most negative of moods after a challenging day at school, he comes out of Catherine's lesson smiling and positive. It is astonishing! She builds on what he already knows, consolidating it through practise and by developing it in a new way. This has encouraged a flexibility in his thinking and has increased his belief in himself. The knock on effect of this is becoming more and more evident in the context of the classroom where he is more independent. He is less overwhelmed at school these days, by applying strategies Catherine has given him he feels more in control and has greater resilience. Catherine allows thinking time and importantly talking time which enables him to order his thoughts and try things out. I cannot stress enough what a difference these weekly lessons have made. despite the difficulties my son has with literacy and how exhausted he is at the end of a school day, he still absolutely loves going to Catherine. I can't recommend her enough!
