Optometrist was brilliant and really thorough. I picked vision express for their package to pay monthly with insurance this is a really good deal interest only. They had a good selection of glasses with plenty of options for lens thinning etc but I did feel I was steered towards the most expensive option each time. I was in their to buy glasses and I am quite straight forward with picking what I like. I didn't need upselling to and it was clear that selling was a key factor for the appointment.

Huge thanks to the staff at Worthing Vision Express. I needed an emergency order for a few days, as away from home and they gave me 5 lenses. Offered to pay and they refused. Amazing and thanks so much!!

Terrible experience, went to book an appointment for 2 weeks time for when I get paid. Rob asked me how long it had been and admittedly it was overdue, however my mum had glaucoma and I was at risk so thought I should book for payday and could treat myself to a couple new pairs of glasses and sunglasses. He said I did not need to wait and could book that afternoon. I did say I could not as I do not get paid for 2 weeks and could not really pay for the test today, he asked me if I was 40 (I thought this was for health reasons or something) I replied not until July (he saw my dob on the system. He said it would be free so not to worry and to come back in a hour. I had the test done (very rushed and unhappy staff) and yes I have glaucoma and will need treating soon. Came downstairs and looked at the glasses while I waited for my prescription. Another chap (not sure of his name) called me over to the computer and loudly asked is that your date of birth (pointing at the screen) a couple feet away. I had to look closer (I am here for an eye test!) and I said yes thats me. He said you are not, I was not sure of the relevance as I told him I had already stated that to ROB as it won the screen. He then declared that I must pay for the eye test. I must have looked a bit confused as I did not understand as to why so asked for an explanation. I was told that in order to have the free eye test I must be 40! I calmly explained that ROB had asked me this and I had replied that I would be 40 in July as it showed him on the screen, again explaining that I thought he asked for health reasons as I am not 40 and it clearly shows it on the system and I had no idea I had to be 40.. and I said NO!!!! Well he said I had to pay, so I had to sit there embarrassed waiting as I contacted my partner to transfer me some money. Yes I did tell the chap again that I was not having the test for 2 weeks as funds are short and that ROB told me it would be free, it was at this point that ROB overheard this and loudly called me a liar, that he had not said it was free, that I had told him I was 40 and that had said nothing of the sort. Now I am a fair person and I would have accepted that I myself had misunderstood (but we both know what you did ROB) or that he was mistaken and it was simply a misunderstanding (it was not) but he yelled I am a liar in front of customers and colleagues. Please someone look at the camera and listen to when I told him I was not 40 and his outrageous behaviour that followed. Why would I lie when my dob is in front of you, i do not understand the rebel ace of my age (but he did and should have explained that) there was no rush to have it done as I did not have funds for the glasses yet. I know it was only 20 although money was tight that week so I did not plan on having done and only did because it was supposed to be free but 20 is 20 when you do not have it and having to sit there embarrassed while having the money transferred and then ROB yelling that you are liar is unforgivable. I have complained to customer services and a week later they have told me that ROB is actually the partner head at that store and cannot investigate his own complaint but will recieve further training! Well I am glad my awful experience can help you? So great customer service all round. It is ok though, as being conned into paying 20 they have lost 349 in glasses sales so hope that hits your targets! Utterly disgusting
