My Father spent over four and a half years at Country Lodge and I cannot speak highly enough of the staff working here. They really cared for and about him and we are so grateful that he was able to die in familiar surroundings and tended by familiar people. He had a lovely ground floor room with great views of the immaculately kept garden and onwards to the South Downs. His care was splendid and the activity staff tried so hard to keep him included. The manager, Debbie kept us informed as to his progress and ongoing treatment. I would unhesitatingly recommend Country Lodge to anyone who wishes to ensure that their loved one is in the best possible care. Lindsay Poller Daughter of Alan Tier

Country Lodge is a lovely nursing home which looked after my Dad very well for 6 months following an operation. I only moved him because he needed to be in a care home with my Mum elsewhere. The location is lovely - in the foothills of the South Downs. The view from the lounge is stunning. The gardens are large and well tended. The staff are welcoming and friendly and many of them struck up a warm relationship with my Dad. The husband-and-wife owners are often in the home, working and they are always happy to have a chat and pass the time of day. So it's not run by a faceless company. All in all I have been very happy with Country Lodge and recommend it. Malcolm

My Mother In Law spent her final eight weeks at Country Lodge Nursing Home - and we can't fault the level of care, kindness, patience and understanding they demonstrated. As a family we would high recommend this Nursing Home to any family looking to put a loved one in care. Debbie (The Matron) and her staff were totally professional, but compassionate and friendly. The room was lovely - with a real home from home free about it, the food was wholesome, and of a very high standard. They ensured that her final days were painful and peaceful and her every need was catered for. Thank you to all at Country Lodge Nursing Home for being there for her and her family. *****
