I've rented a Mercedes veto van from British fleet services for nearly two years now. I can't fault them. I collected the vehicle from a sister depot conveniently near my house in Crawley. The vehicle itself was immaculate and had about 150 miles on the clock so I'm assuming it was a brand new vehicle. It was clean full of the fuel and add blue. British fleet service themselves sent me a nice little pack to explain everything in detail. It explained what the rental agreement service covers. I was surprised at how comprehensive the service was. The insurance covers full liability with goods in transit servicing and maintenance of the vehicle, with the promise of a replacement vehicle if for any reason there's any issues with the vehicle I'm renting. So it gives me the peace of mind knowing everything has been taken care of. I've had a few issues but mainly of my own doing. The guys in the office have always been supportive and helpful when I've required assistance. I'm not going to lie it seems like a big outlay at the beginning But when you factor in getting a new vehicle having it fully insured with a service plan, replacement vehicle and on top of that the support and expertise British fleet services offer, its actually not a bad deal and it works perfectly for me. The most unprofessional company I've ever dealt with. 2-3 people in a small office finding anything to make money from you. I went to Gatwick airport to collect the van (1.5hr drive from my house) TWO times over two days, wasting over 70 fuel from my own pocket because BFS paid with the wrong credit card so there was hassle from the start, they say it was because i wanted the van earlier but theres nothing got to do with that. They just didnt know how to pay. One worker called 'Sisi' is just disgustingly rude I also have screen shots of her talking so unprofessional and like shes being forced to work. I wish i can add screen shots on here for you to see, she literally told me "Bring the van back by 5pm!! Im not working for you after 5pm!!!" My contract did not finish till 9pm or something like that but she wanted me to bring the van early so they do not get charged for the van that day by Hertz. I received 3 PCN's while i had their van and all 3 PCN's i did not know of till they increased up to 130, then they tried changing it back to 65 which was successful after months but its just so much hassle they are so lazy and helpless. Currently, after 5 months, I just got the other half of the 600 deposit i gave when i first rented the van out. Be careful when renting a van with these guys have all of your information inhand.
