We were very happy with the multi vendor website we purchased from eCommand. As a company, they initially engaged with me to clarify the business needs and web site specification and then projected the website build in a manner we were very happy with. I am now the proud owner of a multi vendor site and would like to thank Chris and the team for his help and ongoing support.

Before meeting Pixel by Pixel I was 'sold' a multi-vendor platform for my marketplace. It all sounded logical and I was used to working with digital marketing and web builds. However, I had never used CS Cart. The benefits of CS Cart sounded fabulous, when my original agency recommended it. After going live with my website, I very very quickly realised that like me, my web developers had absolultely no idea how to use CS Cart outside of the standard license, did not know how to create actions within the CMS that related to my business and requirements and were tailored. I went through a number of developers and found many difficulties. Until I miraculously found Pixel by Pixel who knew exactly what I was asking for; spoke in a language that was human; and had actual recommendations that fit my budget and did not take years to develop. After working with Pixel by Pixel and learning from their knowledge of the platform, I had the confidence to then give Pixel further areas of remit: that being SEO, develop Home of Artisans email templates, work on improving user journey contact points for makers and run the social media content creation, management and moderation. From a good relationship with Pixel I witnessed their growth exploding from a small business to a medium business with offices in other countries, along with investment with the need to expand and build for growth. I took on a period of consultation with Pixel for a number of months to bring my background and expertise to the business on a consultative basis. I have not doubt Pixel will continue to deliver great work for clients, continue to grow and continue to have the flexibility and agility to work with clients of any size: enterprise to start-up. I absolutely recommend this business.

We've used Pixel for over 5 years on a wide range of website projects for our creative agency and our own group of companies. We have always found working with them very easy (unlike many developers that we have worked with) and their technical knowledge is at a very high standard. Pixel's pricing is fair and I would certainly recommend their services (and I continue to do so).

Overall, I wouldn't use this firm again. For a large app branding and marketing project, they made a total hash of the project management. From having c.6 months to do all this, their mismanagement (e.g. not kicking off phase 2 for c.1.5 months) destroyed the ample time, leaving me with 1 month to get things done. The brand name they proposed already had a UK trademark on it (meaning we had to redo the brand name). I only found this out when talking to my own legal team - though you would expect them to do that check for you before proposing names. And if you, like me, believe honesty is the cornerstone of good business, then they missed this too. They kept telling me things were good when they weren't. They took payment in advance for each phase - and though they hadn't met the brief of phase 2, one day they decided phase 2's budget was exhausted and that, thus, phase 2 was done. I thought their branding guy - Jon - was excellent. But the project management is not good Steer well clear. UPDATE - 13/6/17 You will note below that Pixel by Pixel has replied. However, please do not believe their reply. By reading this update and then comparing them to his update, you can decide if he is telling the truth (or not)... 1. He says they produced a variety of options for the app name - but actually, the final end name they proposed was one that was trademarked. They didn''t check if it was trademarked before presenting this. They pushed this name because they hadn't bothered to check the free, universally accessible trademark database. 2. He questions whether the legal team were right in warning of trademark infringement that they were walking me into... well - given 3 separate trademark specialists from 3 UK legal firms, all independently agreed this was a clear trademark breach - yes, the the legal teams were right. Pixel is just trying to mislead readers. 3. He says he didn't say phase 2 was completed and did a whole load of free work. I have an email from one of his team (midway through me asking him to justify his costs - after a series of missed calls to discuss his costs), which just effectively went 'here you go - this attachment concludes phase 2'... with no discussion. 4. He says he had no idea of my dissatisfaction - given he received about twice weekly emails prior to me terminating the relationship asking him to justify his costings - which he ignored - I'm shocked. But it sums up Pixel by Pixel. It's just not worth the risk - get a different firm
