Absolute shambles. Can never get an appointment, you get through to the receptionists ans they dont want to listen, they just fob you off. Do an E-consult, still dont get a call back next day. Hospital said visit your GP but cant make an appointment, all those trying to get help and cant. Seriously needs ita receptionists and their systems reviewed.

I received a form from them and one of the questions was do I consent to receiving text messages, I ticked the box saying no and sent it back, a few weeks later they texted me despite my objection, I called them today (20 October 2021 and Phil confirmed that my form had been received over a month earlier, he could not give me a straight answer as to why they texted me but apologised, their answerphone message asks patients to call on certain days and times to book up a flu vaccine but today Phil confirmed that they had run out and to try again next week, I can't understand why they don't change the outgoing message on their answering machine to inform patients and not to wait in the queue to be told this, this surgery is chaotic.

It is just so disorganised. We have never ONCE seen the same doctor for our little girl (2 years old). We only go when we REALLY have to and even then it's a hassle. The staff are rude. The waiting time is endless and the call back is usually by a nurse. The times they have agreed to see us all the Doctors/Nurses have been kind, I will give them that, but given us basic and often different (?) guidance e.g. how and when to use Calpol/Nurofen. They NEVER call back with urine sample results - nevermind even seeing the results, as far as you know they may never have even tested them. And when I needed a referral for myself I had to email and call around 10 times - I am not even exaggerating. Unfortunately we have no other choice for GPs in the area, but if you have a choice. DO NOT choose The Strand.

With my recent health issues i feel the practice has not been as proactive as it could have been. I recently had a knee operation canceled due to the hospital finding i had high blood pressure. Goring Hall who were to carry out the procedure as an NHS patient recommended i see a Cardiologist, the latest estimation is that could take up to 30 weeks. I have recently been informed by Goring Hall that the operation can take place but not at Goring Hall as they don't have the necessary cardiac facilities. I don't know if I'm on the list for this to be carried out at another Hospital or not. I was recently contacted by the surgery in relation to the wearing of a 24 hr heart monitor, which i agreed to, I'm still waiting for this to happen. Since being diagnosed with high blood pressure on the 13/01/2022 i have been prescribed tablets for Blood pressure, but i have not yet seen a doctor to discuss my condition or what i should or shouldn't do.
