Acre Care have been absolutely amazing. We had to change a relative's care package entirely at very short notice recently and they stepped up to the mark and fitted everything in to their schedules. They are always available to help in the office, and, most importantly, the carers themselves are brilliant too. They have almost become part of the family and offer excellent care and support above and beyond expectations. Thanks!

Acre Care are a great little agency. The staff work really hard to make sure personal service is truly given. I've spoken to numerous clients and have been told many stories about how staff have gone out of their way to help. The owners also really value the staff and make sure they are looked after and paid above usual rates. I would greatly recommend them both as care providers and employers.

I arranged for my grandmother to have a care visit from Acre Care, after an intro session where the Care Manager visited the house a few weeks ago. We arranged 1pm on Wednesday 18th for two hours, where the Care & Support Worker would be accompanied by the CM. Instead, a CSW turned up at 11am unaccompanied. I explained what I had actually booked and she apologised saying there must have been a mistake at the office. 1pm came and I expected the call I had booked, but nothing happened. I called the office and asked where they were and the CM assumed I had had the call in the morning. I said I had turned the CSW away as I had expected her to be there with her, to which she responded, "Oh no, I was so busy this morning I couldn't get away". Absolutely no communication of this or that fact neither of them would be coming at 1pm. At the end of the phone call, we rearranged for Friday 20th for the CM and CSW to come at 12pm. On Friday, the doorbell went just before 11am and standing there was another unaccompanied CSW. I asked where the CM was and said how it was the wrong time, but she said that she had no information about the CM coming and that this was the time she had been given. I turned her away and said I would call the office. I called and spoke to the CM and explained what had happened. She said, "Oh, well I don't do care calls on Fridays", directly contradicting the information she had given me. Also, this is the first actual care visit from a CSW and she wasn't going to accompany her? I worked in the care industry for almost four years and this is not acceptable. She added, "This hasn't started very well has it?" to which I agreed and then informed them we would be taking our business elsewhere. A shocking lack of communication which included missed calls, a lack of supervision and a lack of an apology of continued mistakes. We never actually got to the point where my grandmother received care from Acre Care, but I can only imagine what their service is like considering the level of success we had trying to arrange it.
