Beware when you do a home swap ,like we did We moved to Worthing from a different city last summer, so that we could be near to family ,and we have really noticed the difference in how this housing treats it's tenants (non caring) I look after my 81 year old mother and have health problems myself asthma, fibromyalgia ,sciatica, The property we have moved into had several problems damp ,larder door frame had been ripped out, etc these things you don't notice on viewing but have been rectified, but unfortunately we have no living room door and it is very draughty and cold, The door was taken off by previous tenant's I have brought a door and have rang Worthing homes several times to ask for the door to be fitted because the living room cannot get warm without the door ,only to be told that you take it as you find it when we first viewed it, But at the time of viewing and going through the swap I had cancer and was in hospital having a operation , and we lived over 4 hours away so i could not travel long distance even after operation so a family member viewed it ,everyone knows that you never notice everything on first viewing ,other jobs have been done but it feels like know one cares that we are sitting in a cold draughty living room , not only is it cold but it's also not energy efficient , my mum is staying in bed longer just to keep warm , I also have anxiety and panic attacks ,And the stress of one thing after another is effecting us both .
