I normally don't typically leave reviews, however Refresh were so helpful and our project went so smoothly I felt I should. We were almost not going to go ahead with Refresh Renovations because we thought they might be more expensive, however my wife and I wanted to make sure we were 100% sure we had the money to see the project through and the initial stage answered this and give us so much insight into what the true costs were likely to be. We got a fixed price and time quote before we went into the build and we were very grateful especially when our friends who had gone with other builders had spent more than they planned to and still weren't finished. The design team were so helpful throughout all the stages and Alana was really helpful throughout the whole process, there were no surprises, everything was dealt with by the team and we had no stress! Update: Following the below review, the company then offered us money to take it down. I think that sums up the company that they are - who knows how many negative reviews have been removed based on them paying people off. My wife and I are both bitterly disappointed, frustrated and unhappy with the service we have received from Refresh Renovations. We raised our budget from the very beginning, ensuring before we committed that we had enough to achieve our goals and that we werent being unreasonable. The Refresh representative even contacted both Directors (Roger and Tracy) to ensure our budget was along the right lines before progressing forward. After months of going over designs with the team, we then met to review the estimation report. Taking into account we de-scoped a bathroom and were aiming for a basic spec, the report still came out over double our top budget. One of the things we were most disappointed by was that no one brought up the project coming in massively over budget until we had to say it to Roger and Tracy. They have acknowledged in subsequence emails that they knew budget was of upmost importance to us, yet it was still mentioned by no one until we said something and even then it felt like nobody really understood how ridiculously over-budget the quote was. This is extremely poor customer service.Either they both decided to ignore it or they just didnt bother to look at our file. Both are unacceptable. We feel like we have been misled into getting the initial report done. We hope that going forward their team will take our feedback on board and that other customers do not have the same experience- we have wasted time and money on this- neither of which we can get back. Roger and Tracy were recommended to us by our neighbours and we wouldn't hesitate to recommend them ourselves. They were professional, friendly and approachable and made sure they understood our needs and budget from the start. The design process was broken down into different stages so we felt comfortable and in control of each step. Everything is documented and meticulously planned and you can tell that Tracy and Roger taken pride in their work. We wish we had worked with them on previous projects on our house as their wealth of experience is invaluable and paying the additional amounts for project management saves time, stress and money in the long run.
