My mum has been attending this centre for several months now and really enjoys it. The staff are very caring and experienced in looking after and keeping vulnerable people safe. It's a much needed and fantastic service. Thank you!

AnnMarie has supported my residents from my home in so many different ways, engaging them with the community, sharing her experience with myself and staff. She has given us so much of her valuable time. she is a massive support in the community especially with those who have a diagnosis of Dementia and the support to their love ones.

Excellent centre for those who unfortunately suffer with dementia..AnnMarie and her helpers are kind, caring, and thoughtful, and have a good understanding of the individual needs of the clients that they care for. I thoroughly recommend this centre having had first hand knowledge of the service AnnMarie supplies....Good luck to you all at your new address and with the soon opening in Southwick.

We first met Anne-Marie and her team in 2020 when Dad started to attend their day centre to help with his dementia and to give Mum some respite. We couldn't have asked for nicer people to care for Dad. He loved going and spending time with them. He made them laugh as despite his illness he never lost his sense of humour! I would highly recommend the Lovejoy centre for your loved ones as they really did help Dad and Mum through a very tough time......Thank you x

Mum began attending the Lovejoy Centre just after the first raft of Covid restrictions were lifted in 2021. Almost immediately I noticed a substantial enhancement in her mental and physical wellbeing. Like so many physically and mentally vulnerable people, mum endured many months of separation from loved ones during Covid which intensified her sense of confusion and isolation. During this time mum became withdrawn and increasingly bewildered by her surroundings; moreover, fine motor skills such as holding a knife and folk or a cup, deteriorated. Thankfully we discovered the Lovejoy Centre, providing tailored, multi-sensory (kinaesthetic, visual, and audio) stimulation through a mix of arts and crafts, pet therapy (mum loves the tortoise!), social interaction, performers, structured reminiscing, and day trips. Mum is always treated with dignity, respect, and kindness at the Lovejoy Centre. The team take a keen interest in mums life story, taking time to talk about and stimulate her memories using meaningful resources such as Second World War memory boxes. This is something she appreciates and thoroughly enjoys. Her fine motor skills have improved substantially: not only is she eating and drinking independently, but she is also drawing and colouring with skill and accuracy. Day trips are well run, fun and imaginative to date mum has been to Tangmere Military Aviation Museum, Middleton Butterfly Farm and Drusillas Zoo Park. Mum says she feels safe at the Lovejoy Centre which is important to her mental and physical wellbeing. The team respond efficiently and effectively if they detect mum has a physical ailment or a sudden change in her mood. Moreover, mum has a healthy appetite and thoroughly enjoys the food and drink served. The team are always supportive to carers: they are happy to listen, demonstrate in-depth knowledge of dementia and its implications, and provide support and advice. The Lovejoy Centre has made a tangible difference to mums quality and enjoyment of life. Without a doubt, I recommend the Lovejoy Centre 100 percent!
