Asked for a quote for two bound theses, when it came to invoicing was told price was for one copy. Disputed based on a clear email chain and was asked to take my business elsewhere. Baffling approach to customer service. Ended up paying the same price for two copies including delivery with a binder from Leeds.

Very reason and did an excellent job. Only downside, I know we said there was no hurry but seven months seemed a bit long.

I had a couple of books I had long wanted to read - both by Samuel Baker, printed in the 1860's Albert Nyanza, Great Basin of the Nile, and Ismailia, two volumes each. They were all in sorry condition, having belonged to my grandfather and carelessly stored for a long time - cracked and split bindings, broken spines, bent and ragged edges to the covers. Mr Watts was kind enough to find time in his busy summer schedule of binding students' theses to do a sterling repair job on all four. New endpapers, new board covers, with the gold-printed parts of the original covers glued onto perfectly colour-matched replacement covers, restitched spines and bindings, among others. He gave me a detailed description of the work he had done when presenting me with four solid, beautiful, and most-importantly now safe-to-read treasures. It cost a total of 170. For me, worth every penny to have a real craftsman taking care of something irreplaceable.
