Spoke to the owner today, the farm has been sold so the campsite is no longer operating. Have to wait to see if the new owners continue with it.

Really enjoyable stay. surprisingly clean toilet and shower facilities, little stall for a hot drink and a bacon sandwich etc in the morning, running drinking water. It's a really laid back place, but really well looked after, too. Pub very quickly accessible via bridle path. The campsite is also bigger and busier than I expected; and despite this size, and the fact it seems to be run only by John and a small handful of others, they do an impressive job of keeping noise to a reasonable minimum way into the night. They seem to be working 18 hour days or something silly, because i didn't see a dirty toilet or shower all weekend, and they were the ones cooking the sausages in the morning. On top of this, I lost my phone over the weekend, and sent a bit of a long shot inquiry to john and co via email as to whether it had been handed in. I got a return phone call an hour or so later from John letting me know that he was just on his way down to the bottom corner of the field to look for it... which I didn't even implicitly request. I've never left a review on anything before, but having mulled it over for an hour or two, I thought that these guys really do deserve some credit for going quite clearly above and beyond.

In a beautiful part of Dorset with many amazing local walks. Gets busy and basic facilities but friendly owners and the best local pub in the universe. Not for the faint hearted. Must visits are Dancing ledge, winspit and......... Na can't tell you anything else otherwise you will all turn up at once!
