Went on my birthday with my teenage son to play a few games of pool. The landlord was nice enough to switch on the lights so we could play. Pool table was 50p a pop, and no deposit for a cue or balls. Table was decent. Paid 5.70 for a pint of kronenberg and half a pint of coke, in 2023. We turned up about 10mins after opening time, so it was quiet. No complaints from me.

Cracking traditional dog friendly local, open fires and friendly atmosphere. Great selection of beers and spirits at the right price. Occasional live entertainment and bar snacks (wraps / burgers etc) at very reasonable prices available at weekends. Live football, all sky sports games shown and anything else upon request. Come in strangers and leave as friends. Keep up the good work.
