A very average burger and chips for 15. Same as you would get at the school fete.

We went to The Jolly Farmer for Sunday lunch with our dog. Overall, the food was generally okay, but the beef was too tough to cut, even with a steak knife, and was very chewy. The fudge cake dessert and syrup sponge desserts were also very dry. This was reported back to the staff and they did reduce the cost of the main meals, which was a nice gesture. The staff themselves were perfectly pleasant, but the overall service was slow and not very attentive. The staff were often not around or talking by the coffee machine. We had to ask multiple times for the dessert menu and for the bill at the end. If the pub was busy I would have understood, but it was fairly quiet. The pub itself is pretty, but it was very cold inside. Sadly, the overall experience was a little disappointing and I am not sure that we would visit again.
