Matalan

I was very disappointed with my visit. I had travelled a round trip of 50 miles to go to this, my closest store. I was wanting a pair of jeans. All the different styles were mixed up and they didn't have a full range of sizes or lengths in most of them. I was unable to try them on as at the fitting rooms there was a notice saying as a cost cutting exercise (paying someone to fold and put away tried on clothes) the changing rooms were not in use. This meant I had another 50 mile round trip to return them as the style I bought didn't suit me ( my choice was limited due to not having my size in my preferred style) surely my returned jeans would have to be folded or put on a hanger so I'm not sure how no changing rooms helped either the store or the customer. I then had to use a self service till and had problems so all in all not a good experience and I won't be making any special trips to Matlan any time soon. Such a shame.

This store is scruffy inside and out. One of the exit doors hasn't worked for years. The car park is a disgrace. There are pot holes and a sink hole from last August that leads straight into the canal.
