I was asked why I wasnt wearing a face mask so told the cashier lady I had a respiratory condition. She then asked to see my proof card which I didnt have. This made me feel uncomfortable as stated on GOV.UK Some people may feel more comfortable showing an exemption card, badge or home-made sign that says they do not have to wear a face covering. This is a personal choice and you dont have to do this under the law. The governments in England, Northern Ireland and Scotland state that saying youre exempt (if youre challenged) should be enough. You shouldnt be asked to provide evidence of your health condition, such as an exemption card or medical note, when trying to enter a shop, supermarket or anywhere else that face coverings are now mandatory. Please advise employees.

The shop is beyond hot inside. Even as a customer I didnt want to be in there longer than 2 mins, I feel for the staff who have to work with no air con in a tight shop in near 30 degree weather. Staff are lovely but owner needs to sort air conditioner thats broken - disgusting conditions.
