First time I've used AA Carpets. We had a full house done with a mixture of carpet and LVT, as well as a new sofa. The fitters were lovely, the flooring and sofa also look lovely. However, the woman who works in customer service there has absolutely no customer service skills. They had brought the wrong carpets for the rooms they said they would be doing on the first day, however since our house was fully furnished, we had only emptied the rooms they said they would be doing. The woman rang my partner and was horrible to him and there was no resolution to the problem. So I rang. She started shouting down the phone at me as soon as I said what address I was from and swore due to an error on their part which she tried to say was our error. When I asked to speak to the manager, he told me it was a misunderstanding due to their plans not quite matching our house layout...therefore not our fault like the woman was quick to say while shouting and swearing at me. The woman had also asked us to check if the floor was concrete or wood so they knew if it needed screeded or not for the LVT, saying concrete would need screeding and wood wouldn't. When we rang to say it was wood, she said it would need screeding. When the fitters came, they said they needed to ply board it, not screed it. They kept changing the days for the fitting due to issues on their end, even tried pushijf it back by 2 weeks. Would never use them again or recommend them to anyone.

Great customer service from AA Carpets in selecting the best flooring for our living room. The team fitting were exceptional. Flooring was cut with care around the stone sides and tidy around the stairs. They cleaned up and left the place spotless. Highly recommend AA Carpets.

AA carpets installed luxury vinyl tile (LVT) over a suspended wooded floor in my kitchen in March 2019. At the time of quotation I was told that the application of a screed over plywood was unnecessary despite this being customary for a number of other companies. Nevertheless, I put my faith in AA carpets and at first it appeared they had done a good job. Unfortunately within months, plywood board edges and nail heads started to appear through the LVT. I informally raised the issue within a short space of time when their fitters had to come out to remove a bit of excess material from under one of the tiles. I was told Id have to report it to head office because they were just out to sort the bump caused by the excess material. Regrettably, I made the mistake of not formalising the issue until September 2021 when I got tired of looking and the floor and sent AA carpets an email outlining the issue alongside photographic evidence. AA carpets agreed to come out and have a look at the issue in October 2021 although no one showed up. At this point I thought Id just leave it and write it off as a bad experience. However, Ive recently just had my living room and hallway done by a different company, plywood and a screed used, and the fitting quality is night and day. I requested a quote from the company that done my living room and hallway; however, their advice was to get back in touch with AA carpets and get the issue sorted because in their opinion the state of the floor is unacceptable. In recent months I got back in touch with AA carpets to get the issue resolved to which they stated they would come out, lift a few tiles, screw the plywood boards down and feather over joints. Today they came out, tried to lift a tile and made a mess of it, they managed to distort the tile and cut into the edge of another tile. This is disappointing as instead of fixing the problem, they made my floor look worse. AA carpets have now decided that theres nothing more they can do. My advice is, if you have suspended wooden floor boards, avoid using AA carpets. In my opinion, failure to use a screed makes their installation procedure unsuitable. The flooring I had installed was Moduleo Impress. The maintenance and installation guide for this flooring states: a suitable levelling compound should be used to ensure that no irregularities show through to the surface of the finished floor. Unfortunately, a levelling compound was not used when AA carpets installed my floor and irregularities are showing through.
