If I could give them 100 stars I would. They looked after my dad for several years and they did such a wonderful job with him. As a family we were worried about him finally going into care (he had dementia and had become too much for my mom at home) but from Day 1 he felt completely at home and was extremely happy there. It was such a relief for us to know he was happy and cared for. I can't thank them enough for all they did. Truly special people.

These people want the residents sat in chairs all day long . The place needs knocking down and rebuilding as the list of jobs that need doing are endless . Also needs a dam good clean . Filthy

Never seems to be a very warm place. Food is good. Staff seem very clicky n have their favourite residents. Lost some of my mom's new clothes n towels. My mom was glad to be moved from there to another care home .

My Mother was nearly 92 and was suffering from Dementia. My sisters put my mother into this home without involving me in this decision. Removing my mother from her home which she had shared with my Father for 50 years of marriage. Unfortunately my father passed away suddenly in 1998. Mum spent the rest of her days in a bungalow with many memories. My sisters took her out of her home without my permission and put her into this home. My mother had pleaded with my wife and I not to let my sisters put her into a home . I agreed too stop them unless she was endangering her life. I warned my sisters months earlier if they put mum into a home she would be dead within 9 Months. Unfortunately this happened but I was unhappy with the homes statement to us. They said mum had a fall between 7am and 7.30 am. Mum arrived at the Hospital Hypothermic. The hospital told me she had been lying on the ground much longer than the times stated by the home. The home stated they look in on their residents throughout the night. Im in doubt about this statement . I honestly think mum got up in the early hours to use the commode, she fell and remained on the ground until someone found her first thing in the morning. Unfortunately mum received bad bruising to the head and body and passed away in Hospital on the 13th April 2016. Im warning people too be careful before putting a loved one into a home. My mum could be alive today if she had stayed in her Bungalow with her love Memories.

My beloved husband was in the care of Wordsley Hall Care Home for several months. During this time he had the most wonderful loving care from all the staff . They are all excellent caring nurses who manage to make Wordsley Hall Care Home a place of love and peace and with a wonderful feeling of being in ones own home where you can relax They are all a shining example to the national health service of how to make patients suffering from various stages of dementia feel loved , cared for comfortable and as relaxed as possible. A word must also be said for all catering staff who serve wonderful , varied , tasty meals to the patients and also help with the loving care that everyone receives The patients are also so very lucky to have an overall manager of the home who herself daily ensures that everyone has the very best loving care possible and who will always be ready to share a happy laugh with patients to help keep them as cheery as possible. i loved my husband dearly and was so thankful that he was being nursed by such a wonderful caring staff. I remain deeply grateful to all of them Sheila Wilyman Bowyer
