Compton Care Shop

Always a lovely reception in this well stocked shop. Lots of lovely items for sale too.

The older manageress needs retraining with some logic and manners . 2 Christmases ago l was in the shop last minute and I brought a clock , she DIDN'T give me a receipt , despite 2 new batteries it didn't work , l took it back the next afternoon , she refused to give me a refund because l couldn't produce the receipt she HADN'T given me , a lady approached the counter , all of a sudden the manageress start smirking and saying 'l don't have a problem with you Audra' , l told her not to laugh at me n turned to leave the shop , she she hadn't despite me watching her do it , l will not go in when she is in , her nasty attitude is well spoken about amongst some customers . She needs a lesson in truth and logic . She kept my 5 because l couldn't produce the receipt she HADN'T given me . She also stated that her till had to balance up for Head Office , so it's alright to KEEP a customer's money so that HER till balances . I think that's called theft . The other manageress is lovely and helpful , she brings a smile to the shop unlike the other one , feels different in there one the older one is on , she needs a complete reset .

Visited this store for a number of years, used to be fantastic for children's items but doesn't seem quite as good since a refit a number of years ago. Could do better than have Children's toys games blocked by the till. Can only speculate its the decision of one of the management. Management staff couldn't be more different, one lady always friendly and happy to help. Other lady is often short and sharp in response to queries, she's been there the longest but outwardly doesn't appear to enjoy her job.

I would like to give an absolutely massive shout out to the Manager of the Compton Hospice charity shop Wordsley Green. My Daughter donated loads of her clothes etc Saturday. My Hubby took it to the shop and at the same time mistakenly picked her handbag up at the same time. Some kind sole my Hubby knows got in touch with the manager to explain what had happened and today a Sunday her day off she very kindly went in to the shop and luckily found my Daughters handbag. Such a lovely thing to do. We are so very grateful. Thank you x
