        What a delight! We had lunch - a half bacon, avocado and tomato sandwich with mayonnaise on doorstep bread plus a deep bowl of home-made spring vegetable soup. That and a cup of tea was about 10 each. Excellent, good humoured personal service. We'll be going back to try the afternoon tea! Kid-friendliness: Children ate at the table next to us and gave every sign of enjoying it.

        Visited to celebrate my wife's birthday and was unfortunately quite disappointed with the service, I had ordered a celebration cake as a nice surprise and it was already on the table on arrival spoiling the surprise. The food was nice, but the service was awful and quite rude, no comment to even ask if we had a nice time Won't be returning I'm afraid
