I regularly need clothes taken up and in as Im tiny, and having to wait up to 6 weeks was my previous normal. Moved to Worcester and found this place - amazing. I took in two skirts to be shortened and shaped to skim perfectly, and three jackets for sleeve length adjustments. Fitted on Saturday, and I had a text to say they were ready to collect on Tuesday. Price and service was excellent. The Zip Yard is fantastic and the people who work there are lovely. Highly recommended! Services: Coat & jacket alterations, Custom tailoring, Women's clothing alterations, Alterations

Called in 11am wednesday morning with a jacket with bottom of zip broken away by about 3" . Lucky to choose a time when a machinest had just become free and it was repaired straight away on the spot within minutes while I waited. Really friendly staff , excellent service and only cost me 7.50 . Would definitely recommend and will use for any future repairs or alterations. Service: Zipper replacement

Called in at approximately 1.30 on Thursday and asked if they could take up the hems on a new wide legged pant suit. I needed it for Saturday. I was measured straight away and told they could actually do it before I left town today. I was messaged in 2.5 hrs and called back to collect. I tried the outfit on at home. Perfect job. Both legs even, correct length and neatly done. No extra charge for same day service. I was more than delighted. Really helpful friendly staff.

I phoned the the Zipyard because I needed some trousers took up and ask if it was something they could help me with as the trousers I have are a drawstring thick thermal type trouser. They replied yes we can do them for you. The service I got was absolutely impeccable you couldn't ask for anything better, just the job. So I've been back and had more trousers took up. Fantastic service from start to finish. Great job to all at the Zipyard. Will definitely be going back in the future. All the best guys thanks so much Adam. Service: Pants alterations

If i could put 0 stars I would! Terrible and stressful experience. Where do I start! I asked for a wedding guest dress to be altered at the shoulders as I wanted the drape at the front go up instead of showing too much at the front. The woman suggested that we were wrong and that it shouldn't be altered at the shoulders but to be altered by adding extra material in the front to not expose much. We did question this as we thought it would be taken up by the shoulder but she insisted on doing it her way. We thought that we must trust her as she should know what she is on about as she is an expert tailor. We returned a week later to collect it and tried it on. She made it worse than what it was before. It draped more than it was. It was a terrible job. At this point she ruined the dress. I went to the desk to tell the man and he wasn't really bothered and said everyone makes mistakes and shrugged us off. Not helpful at all. But they shouldn't make mistakes as they claim to be professionals. Then someone else came to 'help' and said to give them 10 minutes to unpick it and put it back. We returned 10 minutes later and they took us downstairs even though there was space where we were. They must have done this because they didn't want other people to know how bad they are at altering. They finally pinned it and we left. A week later they did alter it but still not how I would like it but it will do. It wasn't as high standards as i thought. Their attitudes were not the best. Last year we had a problem with a dress too. I asked them to adjust my dress and tried it on in the shop very briefly. I wore it on the day to find out that when I sat down and moved properly it was too big for me. Even thought they said it was ok and just use body tape to fix it. Even though they should alter it properly so I don't have to use body tape. Then another issue was you could see all of the thread they used on my dress. When we called them up all they could say is they can make it fit better but the event is over now. After all we spend on it to be altered, I am not happy about the jobs done. They do terrible jobs and will ruin your dresses and just say put body tape on when we could have done that to begin with.
