A while back (I needed time to cool down) my mom went in to buy a few mattresses as we were changing things in the home. There were a few available so she asked about purchasing them from the two gentlemen in on that day, to which they said they couldn't complete the transaction because the manager was not in (?) and asked her to come the next day. She did so and upon asking the supposed manager, the lady said they had already been sold (we've been in this store before and usually there is a tag saying sold if that is the case, but in this instance there weren't any). I wasn't with my mom at the time, but I saw her in the evening and she was still shaken (tears in her eyes) from the way she'd been treated, as the lady had been dismissive and rude. My mom has an accent, and she's obviously not British and in her mind she wasn't sold the product because of that (from the way she told the story, I'm inclined to believe). I was going to take this further and place a complaint with basis on discrimination, but what happened that day is sadly nothing new and I'll let life deal with things as it sees fit. I wanted however to thank you, as we managed to buy mattresses (brand new ones) much cheapper, so all in all, despite the despicable human way of treating others, we have what we needed but were unable to donate to charity (we'll do it in different ways, maybe). I'm not allowing her back in there anytime soon though, and wish you all the best.

A large charity shop mainly dealing in furniture. They are one of the few I've found in central Worcester that are happy to take electrical items. Of course, its a very worthy cause.
