Although the appointment was prompt, we received an engineer that clearly hates his job/waking up in the morning/being in our house? Not sure but with his constant banging, death stares and his dismissive attitude, he made it very clear that he didnt want to be here. Im now checking the doors and windows at night in case he comes back to kill us in our sleep

Boiler repair engineer was helpful and got my boiler working, however, he made me sign a document that invalidates my warranty in the future. This is due to the condensate pipe not being 32mm and running on the outside of the house. He explained that he understand that this was acceptable when it was installed but regulations have changed since then and now the warranty is invalid. There was an another issue with clearance room infront of the boiler. The engineer explained that it needs at least 400mm so they are able to remove parts if needed. I asked why they wouldnt remove the boiler if there wasnt any room and he politely explained, that they dont have too. Ha! Anyway, they boiler was shy of 10mm - but every inch matters eh! Lesson for the uneducated consumers like myself is too understand that the warranty does not consitute to law but more the discretion of what the company is prepared to do. It would be interesting to understand if these policies exist under the care plan. It took 4 days for them to attend and repair, but overall happy they could help and the engineer was helpful and efficient.
