        I deposited a cheque (from HM Revenue and Customs) late afternoon on Friday and was told that the funds would be available after midnight on Saturday. The funds arent available (its now Sunday morning), so clearly misinformation from this Halifax branch. Very irritating; just tell the truth. If its going to take longer to clear the cheque, then say so.
