Westover Farm Cottages & Campsite

One of those great places to stay where they actually have everything you need! Really clean, nice spaces, great garden, games room for the kids. Had really helpful things like plenty of pans, crockery, sandwich bags for picnics, blankets and towels for the dogs - the things you need when you are away from home. Near to the beach and Lyme Regis but in a really quiet spot away from the hustle and bustle. Will return!

This is definitely overpriced when it comes to camping. There is no level ground and the hedges and grass were due a cut. The shower block is a converted pig pen with breeze block walls, concrete floors with a shower laid in the corner. Not very inviting to be honest. Having said that we were told we could use the bathroom which was attached to the farmhouse and that was superb. The Westover lane down to the farm is very narrow and not wide enough to pass on coming traffic unless you're prepared to accept scratches on your vehicle from the hedges. I don't think we will be visiting again.

The owners are very friendly and helpful, the site is in a beautiful location on the edge of the village of Wootton Fitzpaine which is wonderfully peaceful. There are walks into Charmouth, well known for its fossils and it's not far from Lyme Regis. The site is on a farm and provides everything you would need on a spacious CL. Also cottages to hire which we have done in the past. Last night I saw the Milky Way for the first time in ages.

Visited in July .We stayed in the cottage 4 adults & 2 children. Well equipped, very clean, plenty inside living space & great lawned /patio area outside the back of the property. Adequate parking by the cottage for a van & large car. First visit to that area of Dorset & we had a brilliant time swimming in the sea ,exploring the coastal area , woods , small towns & villages on our walks.
