The Hut

The Hut is a hidden gem with a wall of windows that look onto a rising tsunami of lush, rolling countryside. No people around. No street lights. No cars. Just birds (and later bats!) flying around. Bliss. Inside, there are rustic features that make this a proper, very special stay in the country, a world apart from standard accommodations in the region. The terrific little kitchen, the fantastic wood burner, and the perfect sofas were glorious. Proximity to beaches, good restaurants, and the coastal path were amazing also. We could have stayed a lot longer and we will be back.

Off the beaten track and in the middle of nowhere. Perfect. From the outset, we have to say: Thank you for such a marvellous, enchanting week! The Hut is a truly remarkable, heart-warming, rare retreat. And Mark a truly amicable, attentive and discreet, welcoming owner. Hiding away down a narrow trackway, it was such a welcome surprise to find somewhere quite so first-impression welcoming and homely somewhere quite so instantly calming and captivating. Yes, the dramatic, rolling Dorset countryside is the main event, but few things gave us greater pleasure than wandering back to such a romantic, revitalising cuddle of a cabin: one where all our expectations were unquestionably met. Birdsong by day, wood burner by night and privacy guaranteed - The Hut proved to be a genuinely outstanding rural experience and one wed wholly recommend for anyone seeking some fabulous, almost too lovely, memories!
