Champernhayes Holiday Cottages

Stayed in the Swallow cottage. Everything you needed in the cottage, lovely modern shower. Even tea, coffee and sugar. Only disappointment was the swimming pool/hot tub (hot tub being the reason we booked). Advertised on Premier Cottages as ' Bubbling Hot Tub'. Spoke to the owner to find out how to operate the hot tub to be told there is no hot tub and hasn't been for 10 years! So if it's a hot tub you are wanting this isn't the place for you

We had a wonderful family holiday at Owl and Lark cottage. The cottages were well equipped and we had our own pretty private gardens The two cottages were adjoining each other which was perfect for our extended family It was lovely having a home from home to return to, after a day exploring. The little indoor pool was fantastic for our children who played in it every day The location was good as we were a short drive from several beaches, Charmouth being out favourite, just 2 miles away We decided to book for a family gathering later in the year in the Barn.

Perfect Family celebration venue We hired the whole site in June 2021 as accommodation for our guests attending our wedding. It was the perfect venue for a family gathering or celebration The properties are surrounded by beautiful countryside. We stayed in the Barn with a lovely four poster bed which was special. The hosts were so helpful and made our stay feel like we owned the place ! They were helpful and thoughtful providing flowers throughout the properties and a lovely wedding present for us. We held BBQs on the lawn over looking the valley. It was lovely to feel surrounded by all our close friends and family on such a special Occasion. Thank you for making our wedding perfect.

Disappointing. Stayed in Owl. Far from 4* luxury! Bathrooms very dated, bit mouldy, showers weak and flooded wet room floor. Broken mirror frame above bed was dangerous. Garden and property not well-maintained. No hot water in evening as immersion heater didnt work. No answer when called maintenance repeatedly. Jacuzzi also broken and owner told other guests why do you need bubbles (because it was an advertised facility!) and to go home on first day of their family holiday when they complained their accommodation was dirty. Barn and other cottages at least have character but overall owner doesnt seem to care about keeping up standards whilst charging top prices.
