Great service! They did not have the chains I wanted in stock but ordered them in. Contacted me quickly as soon as they arrived. Avery Trumans went above and beyond to get what I needed asap, even leant me some bolt cutters to finish my project! I shall certainly be using them in the future! Bye bye B&Q, hello Avery Trumans!

The shop has a no refund policy. I bought 50 worth of goods in the shop. I returned the goods back with the receipt. The owner explained the no returns policy which I accepted. He was closing up the shop, so timing was not exactly perfect to sort out the problem. He explained to me that he will give me three months receipt to exchange goods up to the value of 50 What was annoying is he kept on going on about giving me three months as a good Will gesture. I did not ask for this good will. I asked him if I buy goods over this period and off the receipt. He stated no that I needed to make one big purchase all at once. I said to him Ill purchase five soil bags worth 10.95 each which are 60 litres each. The problem was I could not carry the five bags home with me that night, because they were heavy and to call a cab whilst he was closing was just not plausible. I was not able to explain that concern to him as all he went on about was the three months receipt of value he was giving me as a favour. I then asked if he can deliver he said no. It was not the perfect time to sort this ongoing situation out. So I walked out with one 60 litres bag of soil told him to just keep the money, as I could not negotiate with him to find a solution. The next day I went in He just was keen to start an argument and go on and on. He doesnt argue to make a point clear he argues to try and wind people up, giving them no space to put forward a solution. Ive shopped at this shop for over 15 years. This situation should not have got out of hand like this. Winding up customers to prove a point is not a profitable way to run a business. I would not step inside this shop again. Yes he is very helpful and personable when advising customers, but he does not have a clue about solving and solutions in regard to his refund policy. My advice is be mindful how much you spend in the shop, as this man does not refund. I managed to purchase the five bags of soil as the refund rather than cash. This was so simple to sort out rather than futile urging. i would also urge that the refund policy posted on his desk needs to be clearer and legally word specific ie the value of the goods amounting to the refund must be made in one single purchase. Im very much about keeping small high street enterprises open and not giving my money to corporations, what choice do I have when the Customer is treated as a channel to create arguments reacher than solve solutions amicably.
