Chinese Performing Arts Centre

I feel so lucky that I discovered Chinese Performing Art Centre. I have never learned tai chi before but I was welcomed from the first minute. Shifu Shi Heng Sheng is a wonderful master very passionate about what he teaches, very patient and very welcoming for beginners. Im always greeted with a smile. The atmosphere is very friendly, everyone is cool, kind and helpful. It is a pleasure to train with them. I highly recommend this wonderful place to everybody who want to learn Tai Chi and Kung Fu

I come and train regularly with Shifu Hengsheng, since the past year. I have tremendously improved my health, stamina and flexibility during this time and enjoy a friendly and fun environment of learning authentic kung-fu and taichi.

I was personally very interested in learning martial arts using weapons and was fascinated by the array of traditional weapons taught here - staff/stick, nunchucks, fan, sword, broad sword and many more. Shifu Heng Sheng is also very experienced and is able to break down complex kung fu movements in a simple manner. Besides the good array of weapons and excellent tutelage, students here are really exceptionally friendly. A lot of them have actually been practising here for years. Everyone is like part of a family and are more than happy to give new joiners a hand. I have joined the classes for around 4 months now (kungfu, taichi, kickboxing, acrobatics and weapons) and have definitely felt an improvement in terms of movement flow, technique and stamina.

Firstly the most authentic centre in London. Easily worth the commute from the centre of London. You will not be disappointed. The instructor Shifu Hengsheng Shi has truly been a delight as a teacher and mentor towards my daughter(10) Shifu Hengsheng has beautifully displayed a new way of life who due to his vast level of knowledge has skillfully and carefully crafted not only a successful and thriving martial arts school offering many disciplines at many levels that are suitable from 1 to 99, but has created a community in which all are warmly welcomed. Shifu's teaching is of such a truly high standard it is to be in awe of. My daughter started at a beginners level and within just under a year trains regularly and at a high level with the utmost enjoyment for the practice and is beginning to truly understand the philosophy behind it. This is all owed to Shifu Hengsheng. Shifu Hengshengs technique is of a wonderfully high standard but also Shifu truly is one of the best representations of his kind in the UK, facilitating not only classes, self defense workshops, holiday workshops and private tuition and performance workshops. Under Shifu's instruction the children are beautifully moulded and encouraged into being the best versions of themselves and also martial arts practitioners. All at a reasonable price.
