This review isn't for the hospital as a whole, but for the security guards in A&E. Was in A&E today with my 87 yr old Mum from 1am - 8am & the entire time, there was an abusive mad person who was racially abusive to every asian person & generally just abusive to everyone, saying he had anthrax & would wipe people out with oxygen tanks over their heads, & constantly harrassing myself & my Mum & threatening to cut us in half with an axe. So mamy of us complained to security & they basically did nothing & allowed everyone to suffer. They're not fit for purpose! The receptionists & triage & blood nurses tried harder at trying to sort it, & they shouldn't have to as it's not their job!

I was in and out in 45 minutes including x-ray, everybody was very friendly and took time to explain the process to me. Very pleased, NHS success!

Terrible experience for my pregnancy, as much as the midwives and obstetricians are good in the delivery suite, all post-partum care is a disaster. The labour ward is a nightmare, they leave mothers to undergo sleepless nights, with awful non nutritive food, and a few mean nurses. Even the pharmacy is a joke; you have to wait 2h to get a box of antibiotics... on top of your waiting time at triage, and same for all patients whether they are disabled or not, have a child or not... Discharged from midwifery in spite of tear still not healed and infections (missed twice), and cherry on the cake, the hospital ignored my GP request for a scan when we suspected retention of placenta/tissue. I am W+9 and need to seek urgent medical attention and will likely have to pay for private care, because they just didn't do their job. Starting to wonder if they don't do that on purpose so you give up and go somewhere else...

Thanks to all the staff who dealt with my husband last night in A&E. They all were polite and efficient.
